Meeting Assistant 3.14 is now available
Salesforce Winter ’18 is here (well, almost at least) bringing cool new features. As Salesforce.com is doing a massive roll-out of the new version this Mid October, we are also upgrading Meeting Assistant 3.14 automatically for our users. Read on to see what’s new.
Improve meeting notes quality with Review stage
We are introducing new stage to the meeting process called REVIEW. On the home screen, user now can see some meeting being marked in orange carrot color. What does it mean?
From now on, once the meeting is finished, user will have chance to either:
- Click “Done” to leave the notes in Review stage.
- Click “Editing Meeting Note” to edit notes (well, obviously).
- Click “Change Meeting State To Completed” – you will have no chance to edit the notes anymore.
This has been raising as one of the important needs for management purpose. Some users should not be able to change anything in the notes once he/she is happy with the final notes. Accordingly, the meeting is now marked as COMPLETED and can be found from Meeting Assistant Home with the green status.
How to use Review or Complete -stages?
Good question! The idea is, that when the user has done the final check with the meeting notes, any process can be called for example with the process builder. Here are some of the use cases:
- Automatically send email with attached notes to attendees
- Inform colleague that important meeting is finished
- Update my weekly report
… or whatever your business needs!

Add attachments to meeting
You are going to have a very important meeting with your key account, and you have prepared some helpful presentations for your event. Not just store those to your computer, but you can now use those directly with Meeting Assistant!
If you go to the event view, open up the Related tab to see more options. From here, you can just drag and drop presentations, PDF, Powerpoint or other material that you would like to use in the meeting. When you start the meeting, you can see all the meeting materials collected nicely on the right side of the screen.
Remember to activate Files and add it to your page layout!
New options for meeting timer
Meeting Assistant collects meta-meeting information automatically from the meeting. What this means in human readable format, is that when you run the meeting, Meeting Assistant collects information of how much you have spent time on meeting or action item. This information can be obtained with Salesforce reporting tool, for example:
- How much I have used the time for action items by default.
- How much my meetings overlap from the original time.
- How many minutes my team uses to type in meeting minutes.
Reset or edit
We have a new button on Preparation page called RESET MEETING TIME AND STATUS. As described, it will restart the timers and reset the meeting from on-going or review back to Preparation, if you for example accidentally started the meeting in advance.
When you are finished with the meeting, you have also option to edit the actual start and end time and date. Just click on the pencil next to the time or date you would like to edit and type in the correct time and/or date.
