It’s almost Christmas time and that means we are coming to the end of 2018 and rolling into the start of 2019 in the blink of an eye. While you are being festive and waiting for the holidays to come, why don’t you sit down with a hot cup of coffee and enjoy our year-end blog post to see what has been going on in 2018 for Meeting Assistant?
A brand new office with new team members
Beside the headquarter located in Helsinki – the capital city of Finland, a new office working solely on Meeting Assistant was officially in use starting from the beginning of summer. The office is located right in the center of Kouvola – a city in the southeast part of Finland. At the moment, there is currently four people working with Meeting Assistant from Kouvola, divided into sales and technical team. Gabby and Ville are working directly with customers while Eetu and Samuli keep adding new features to the application or make sure it works perfectly with new Salesforce releases and also help build out tailored solutions.
A bunch of new features
In 2018, we always try our best to improve Meeting Assistant day by day and as a result, we have come up with plenty of new features so that our users can have better experiences while using Meeting Assistant. Furthermore, the new features work smoothly on not only desktop version but also on mobile devices.
Improved Salesforce task functionality
With Meeting Assistant and Salesforce Task functionality, you can be able to keep track of any action you or the attendees of the meeting agreed to pursue. You can easily create tasks straight from Meeting Assistant. Apart from the ability to enter subjects as well as due dates, this feature will also allow you to assign tasks to any meeting attendees. And if the aforementioned task lack of something essential? No worries, you can simply use the same UI so as to launch a ‘Create Task With More Options’ dialog – which is a built-in Salesforce view with the same fields and functionalities.
Salesforce task status and record types
The default Salesforce Task status is marked as ‘Not started’. However, a lot of organizations feel like they need to use something else which is more suitable for them and with Meeting Assistant, from now on, it will automatically use the organization’s default status as the Task creation Status. Also, the users will have the ability to choose the default record type with any new Task created from Meeting Assistant.
Rich Text editor
Plain text only might seem boring in some kinds of meeting notes and during the past years, a lot of our clients have been asking for the appearance of rich text feature. Voilà, with the current version of Meeting Assistant, users can leave the era of only plain text behind. Users can now enrich the visual aspects of their meeting notes by not only modern rich text but they can also choose italicized text or even strikethrough text. This will ensure that users will have more lively meeting notes and it will help capture meeting minutes as well as highlight important notes more effectively.
Incrementally growing meeting list
This is a major improvement regarding on the meeting list and especially to the mobile performance. We have said goodbye to the old list using a one-time loading functionality. With the new meeting list, it will automatically update to display additional meetings when you scroll up or down. You don’t have to wait for the long list of meetings to load anymore.
