Salespeople hate paperwork, and we get it.
Having talked to many salespeople across various industries, we know what they like and dislike about their job. Me, myself and I am actually a sales person and I understand their pain: the paperwork.
In this post, we will tell you the reason why salespeople hate paperwork and how we can help them.
Paperwork – Why we have to do this?
From management perspective, many organisations want their sales team to log activities, notes and number to easily record, track, follow up and act on it. It is fair enough to help them maintain a healthy sales pipeline. However, salespeople do not always understand this and they hate it.
In fact, the best salesperson should do what they are good at: selling. They are smart, fast, and proactive. Ain’t no salespeople would enjoy sitting down in the office, working with data, draft notes and a boring CRM system.
From long ago, paperwork has been a burden to salespeople. Can’t bare this no more, we invent Meeting Assistant app to help salespeople spend their time for things they love to do.
Sales job and its nature
Sales is a highly valuable skill to any organisation and the job itself is very rewarding. To get the sales, salespeople have KPIs to perform weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly.
On average, a salesperson will meet with 10 clients and make 80-100 calls per week. Of course, this is an estimate figure and can be less or more.
For each client meeting, they have to spend 10-15 minutes to do meeting notes in the CRM, so it takes averagely 2.0 hours per week. However, most of the time, salespeople feel unfulfilling about the paperwork. Because this will be the last thing on their to-do list and quite often, being forgotten.
“Over 90% of people go home at the end of the day feeling unfulfilled by their work, and I won’t stop working until that statistic is reversed – until over 90% of people go home and can honestly say, ‘I love what I do.’” – Simon Sinek
Paperwork Should Be Easy and Hassle-Free
Statistic shows that salespeople often perform better when they are hassle-free and their sales job has less paperwork. Also, 9 out of 10 salespeople said that they would be happier and more productive having their time doing what they love.
At this stage, you may go searching for apps and digital tools to sort this out. But very often, people get lost. Trust me, there are a bunch of apps out there and I used to be like you, too.
If your organisation is using Salesforce.com as the main CRM, you might wanna try Meeting Assistant app first. We design it specifically for sales team which it applies across many industries, equipment sales, insurance sales, real estate, automotive sales, business consulting, etc.
